I have been wondering for months:
How long is the NYT college football home page going to have the same two jerry sandusky videos featured at the bottom of the page? Those show up constantly. The two slots, with thumbnail photos, have been featured there for more than a *year.* See http://www.nytimes.com/pages/sports/ncaa...index.html
And now, on the same college football home page, for a couple days now their fifth main story on the page is the AP wire story "Stanford Player Declared Ineligible for Rose Bowl" ... about T. Stephens' rental housing thing. OK, fine -- But the entire story is ONE single sentence (I guess the same sentence we've seen on other sites), offering zero insight or information to support, counter, or qualify attaching the spectre of NCAA violation to Stanford. Does the NYT take a single-sentence, zero-reporting story and place it in their fifth story slot? It is not July right now with a dearth of content about college football. If you want to put it in that slot, then have some friggin content in the story, perhaps? Or is this some level of cookie-related targeting that only I am seeing, and non-stanford fans don't see? I doubt it.
