Interesting tidbit: Vaughters will apparently be Skov's runningmate in the future. Tarpley is the main backup. Vaughters must have been impressive indeed to beat out Tarpley, who I thought was pretty good at ILB last year.
It would seem Skov, Tarpley, and Vaughters will play a ton. Lancaster probably plays a bit less and will be a Special Teams terror.
On the topic of a True Frosh LT, if Peat is good enough to beat out Austin, it probably bodes well for Nunes and the offense. Austin was a highly touted OT out of H.S., and has had a redshirt year to get bigger and stronger. If Peat is better now, that suggests he also has a bigger upside.
Peat is going up against Chase Thomas, one of the best pass rushers in college football this year, in practice. He's not going to face anyone tougher than Thomas, so if Peat can hold his own against him, also do his job in the run game, and the coaches think he's better than Austin, Stanford fans should be stoked, IMO and not get hung up on the fact he is a True Frosh.
