Quite a shocker. Stanford played unlike most tight games and played tough late

We won AND we got to see Bobby Hurley T'd up. Doesn't get much better than that...

17-2 run at the end of the game. From down 60-54 to the final score of 71-62.

Any day where a Hurley goes down is a good day. Having seen Danny in action when he coached URI he is even more unlikeable than Bobby.

I missed the game.
Looking at box score, looks like great games from Raynaud and Angel, and MJones hot from 3 point.
Looks like SJones a down game, is he hurt again?
Also Carlyle not great, and Bynum playing very few minutes, still hurt?
Any insight from folks that saw the game or have other news?

ASU plays a guard oriented game. Stanford took advantage of its size advantage inside with Reynaud and Angel, complemented by MJones's stellar 3 point shooting. On defense, ASU tries to harass the opponent for 94 feet. Only Gealer really dealt with this pressure well (4 assists, 0 TOs) which is why he was in the game mostly at crunch time. Bynum has not been the same since he returned to the lineup. Not sure if he has lingering injury problems.
Stanford in the 2nd half shot 11 for 19 on 2 pointers with most of those within 5 feet of the basket.

I watched most of the game on DVR.
Spencer Jones looked fine, just not a brobdingnagian game for him.
Gealer always looks crazed out there, dribbling all over the place, but he was effective.
Michael Jones was super hot from 3, obviously.

I thought I saw Spencer shake his right wrist a few times. And his shots seemed off a lot more than his “good days”… I think he is still affected by it.

The announcers commented that after their center left the game (after Angel poked him in the face), that's when Stanford went inside and started the run. Lots of missed shots by ASU, to be fair, but the loss of their shot blocker changed the game.
