Got to watch the 2nd half. Stanford looked like the Stanford we've seen all year. If USC is a top 5 or even top 15 team, there's hope for us yet.

I thought that we'd be extremely rusty after the break, but boy was I wrong. Great game on both ends. Even moreso considering that we were playing 5 on 8 in the second half.
We'll have another tough game against Wazzu in 2 days. Cramming in these makeup games is going to take a toll.
They should just rename the Pac-12 rookie of the week award for Harrison Ingram. I think he has another one coming.

A pleasure to watch that game. Might bring me back more consistently to watch MBB if they keep it up. Great fun.

The teams tied for TOs at 11, but I think Stanford had 8 or so at halftime. The fact that USC didn't apply more pressure defense in the final five minutes really surprises me considering how talented they are and how TO prone Stanford is.
The real difference was in 3-pt shooting: USC was 6-21 (28.6%) and Stanford went Lexie-vs-Oregon crazy and shot 10-24 (41.7%).
The good news, if you can call it that, about having to travel mid-week to Pullman is that the players likely won't have to miss class since everything is online (am assuming that lectures are recorded).
If there's one thing people have learned in Berkeley, it's that you can't put "Cal football" and "Rose Bowl" in the same sentence. The words just don't fit. You'd be better off linking "covered wagons" with "Mars travel." (Bruce Jenkins, Cal '70, SF Chronicle, Nov. 11, 2017)

Hell yeah! Always great to beat Troy, but to spoil their undefeated record is especially nice.
Tonight was all Jones and Ingram. Both with 21 points and Ingram with 10 rebounds. Great contributions by Taitz and O'Connell. And three blocks by Keefe.
I'm just not a fan of Silva at this point. 2 points and 3 turnovers. He had two traveling calls initiating his dribble beyond the arc. That's just inexcusable.
I don't know what to make of this team. Can we make the Big Dance? Or, do we repeat our pattern of late and fizzle at the end of the regular season? Whatever the answers, today we took down the 5th ranked team in the nation by 6 points. ALL RIGHT NOW!!

Amazing team effort. Shows that playing as a team works. KZSU announcers noted that Delaire was a big factor despite low scoring. Rebounds, defense and some clutch free throws down the stretch. Got my attention. Now I’ll watch both BB teams! And second the mention that Keefe did the hard work under the hoop. Starting to remind me of his dad!

I have noticed at Maples that the visitors often have more vocal support than our home team. That's got to be hard for the home team and rather inspiring for the road team.
As Stanford is unlikely to address local apathy, especially during Omicron, seems like banning fans is a clever solution. USC just didn't seem to be prepared to bring their own energy. As long as Stanford is winning let's keep the crowds away.

Hats off not only to the team, but to Haase and his staff. He had the team ready to play and a good game plan, that doesn't happen with poor coaches. Our guys are now winning close games and it is a long time since that has happened.
