The Seattle media has been complaining about the Husky run defense, so maybe this is the resistible force vs the moveable object game.
If we can't beat Washington I'm going to start thinking that maybe even 4-8 is optimistic. We haven't lost to them at home since 2007.
I'm going with Cardinal 31, Dawgs 24.

You are not saying who is on the winning side... and, I honestly could see either team just falling apart and either a big UW win or a big Stanford win, but I think this will end up a close game.

I see a close one as well but UW should beat the spread and eek out the win. With basically no ground game and sketchy pass blocking, not having Humphreys is an outsize loss. Stanford is very beatable right now, not that Washington is anything close what they always want to think they are. I'm on the same wavelength as JohnR--I think we're looking at a 31-23 win over the Dawgs. They really had trouble with AZ last week, and we've hopefully had some time to rest/recover/regroup from our disappointing loss to Wazzu.
BTW, I don't hate the Huskies--my WWII veteran dad was a grad of UW. Survived on the GI Bill, married with a kid (my older sis), ate a lot of canned salmon and cold fried egg sandwiches (blechhh). His senior thesis was on the future of self-serve retail...no more clerks running around grabbing your items for you or delivering to your house. Oh, wait...

Not bl82, but my rationale is that both of these teams could just collapse down the stretch. I have no idea how the morale is at Washington, but expectations were higher for that team, and it has not been good. Sometimes teams are hanging on by a thread and the bottom falls out at the end of the year. That could certainly be us... but I think it can also be UW. There are a lot of similarities between UW and Stanford, but at least we have a competent QB.
I still think it will be a close battle of incompetents, but I could see one team coming out strong and the other whithering. If so, I just hope Stanford is the one coming out strong.
