Announced San Jose game in the 70’s... 67,000. That would equal about three or four games actual butts in the seats in 2019.

Plenty of people go for the tailgates, some never come in, some leave at half.

when (excluding visiting fans at a few games) was the last time Stanford Football was a "hot ticket"???  I don't really recall a time when it was, but I've only been a season ticket buyer since 1982....

The last time? October 10, 1970. USC. SRO. Unbelievable, unforgettable. Indelible.

“Plunkett Keeps His Promise”. Headline of the Chron /Examiner Sunday Sports page (they did a joint Sunday paper.)

That will always be my favorite Stanford game.

2013 #3 Oregon vs #5 Stanford. The most hyped Stanford home game since USC '70. Individual tickets sold for $800.00 on StubHub. I attended both games and Stanford played great football each time.
