When Estella Moschkau transferred, I made a mental note to check out how she performed. Could she shine if given the opportunity? Like many things, the thought passed quickly - until today.
Attempting to come from behind in the last few seconds, #12 Ohio State fouled a Wisconsin player. Ahead by three with 6 seconds to go, who stepped up to the line but Estella Moschkau. She sank both free throws for a two possession lead on the way to a 75-70 upset.
She never got much action playing at Stanford, but always seemed to shoot well when given the opportunity. She's getting starter minutes at Wisconsin, but the team is 5-13 overall and 2-13 in the Big Ten. She's only making 33% from the field and 28% from 3. The bright spot is over 90% from the line. She's fifth in scoring at 6.0 points per game. Not quite the hoped for success story, but she's getting to live the dream of starting for a D1 program.
