A few words about today's opponent.
Fresno was easily the best team in the Mountain West this year.
They won the regular season by 4.5 games, scored the most runs per game by over a run versus second best team, and allowed fewer runs per game by about a run. They won the MWC tournament in three straight games.
We did play each other in a midweek game that Stanford won 2-0.
We played a lot of common opponents (as tends to be the case in the west).

I guess we'll be hitting against Davis Moore, a tall Junior RHP with a 4.12 ERA, 8-1, 1.37 WHIP.
He seems well behind their ace Jensen who went against UCSB, but a solid guy who's pitched a lot of innings.
Fresno is a much better hitting team than Sac St. They have scored 7.17 runs/game, avg 0.301, OPS 0.843, 0.944 HR/game.
For comparison, Stanford's offensive numbers are 6.83 runs/game, avg 0.282, OPS 0.850, 1.491 HRs/game.
Their best hitter seems to be their leadoff guy, Zach Ashford with a 0.393 avg.
They have three guys with an OPS over 1.00: Ashford, Arruda, McCarthy. [Stanford has one, Daschbach.]
Their catcher Bins I believe is supposed to be a pretty high draft prospect. I think he hits second, like Handley.
