Very glad to see a much better start to this season than last. The last four years haven't trended well, so I am cautiously optimistic this means we will be far more competitive in the MPSF, and possibly contend for a postseason berth, this year.

Ohio State has a MVB team...?
I'm always happy to see Stanford beat Ohio State. With apologies to Publius, Ohio State has not been an endearing program in my lifetime of sports fandom...

I watched the last 2.5 sets. I like following Stanford Athletics on twitter because if I happen to check my feed and see a live score being posted, I often get to tune in on Pac12 and watch it. The team looks good. Jasper sure can sky. Beating OSU and Ball State gives back to back top 15 wins, so the team seems to have potential.
The commentators did mention the history of Plunket and Elway vs OSU.

They've won two of the last three NCAA championships. Just FYI. They're also ranked #7 in the country, and Stanford beat #14 Ball State. Currently, Stanford's men's volleyball team is 4-0 and looking very strong.
It's so critical to have a strong setter. Our setter, Paul Bischoff was Volleyball Mag's player of the year in 2016 but missed most of last year with injuries. He's a smart, imaginative setter, strong athlete, fairly long at 6'5". Jaylen Jasper is worth the price of admission, 6'7" soph oppo, brobdingnagian leaper. Not a lot of blocks.
501 in attendance last night for the 3-1 win over Ohio State. We play #2 UC Irvine twice this week at Stanford (odd) both Thursday and Saturday. We'll see what we're made of after those two matches.
Stanford had just 37 errors to Ohio State's 54. Story of the match, Stanford was cleaner and crisper. If you want to see a great match, check it out on Thursday or Saturday.
