It seems every year there is an article which collects anonymous comments from coaches around the Pac 12 on each team. Here is a version this year from Athlon.

I seem to remember in previous years wondering if the "coaches" giving responses were really the department janitors or something because so many of the comments seemed inane. My first impression of the comments in this article are that they seem pretty good and logical, if not necessarily Earth-shattering. 

For Stanford the comments are primarily about the offense, and wondering whether Costello will really be the answer or not. Surprisingly little (mainly one) comment about the defense which I think is where the key unanswered questions lie. 

To me, the most interesting/surprising comments are to the effect that these coaches seem to be much less skeptical of the Herm Edwards hiring than most of the public seems to be.
