That's going to be a very interesting team next year.  On the one hand, Garoppolo is only averaging 22 ppg as opposed to 17 ppg prior to his starting.  On the other hand, the Niners have gone from 25 mins time of possession to 36 minutes time of possession.  And next year, they should have around the seventh to the 10th pick of every round (currently, they're in fifth) and about $75 million in cap room (they have $118 million in 2018 cap room now, but will need to sign draft picks among other things).  After Garoppolo's 3-0 start, their attitude is sky high.  They have Jacksonville next.  Jacksonville has the best defense in the league.  If they score more than 20 against them and win...well, the Niners will sell a lot of 2018 season tickets.

Back in the day when I was shooting Giant's commercials Horace Stoneham's only dictum was, "Don't show any empty seats."  This was at a time when you didn't have CG and all effects on film were called opticals and were beyond the budget of a team drawing 2500 people on a Candlestick afternoon. I think of him often when I shoot a ball follow on a kickoff panning and tilting against a background of orange seats.
