and BobK how many yards did he gain in that last drive that ended at the Cal 5 as I recall?  Would have been interesting if he had ever had a good team to support him.  My years at Stanford were not marked by good football teams.

As I recall, Norman threw for over 100 yards on the last drive.  There were several penalties that called plays back which hurt us a lot.  Of course he didn't get credit for the yards gained on the plays called back so the 100 yards will never appear in any record book.  It was an amazing performance in a losing cause.
