Why do I always feel like someone has died when these admission denials are made?  It especially sucks when it happens to kids like Farrar, Tucker, and Gray, who were adamant about their passion for Stanford, and who made their commitments so early.

That tweet does sound pretty sad. I hope it all works out for him.
