The recruiting picture seems to be full of mystery and intrigue again this year.  It's mid-December and the class has only 11 public commits.  Does Shaw have a bunch of silent verbals?  Are there any stealth recruits this year?  Or are we just hoping that Shaw gets the good news from a high percentage of guys who are still undecided?

My guess has been that the AP classes are the proxy for verbals now.  If a 4 or 5 star recruit is taking two AP classes in their senior year then that's got to be at least as solid as a verbal, probably more solid really.

If the officially undecided athletes are taking AP courses and have submitted applications then all will be fine IF Stanford admits them.

Since the admission is the great unknown, I don't blame any of the athletes for electing not to declare.
