General studies, Interdisciplinary studies, Pre-[professional] studies to some degree....and the most popular: "Undeclared." :)  Stanford does have some of those in the underclassman population.

Stanford doesn't require students to declare a major until their junior year, so lots of underclassmen are undeclared (some because they truly haven't made up their mind, others because they haven't filed the necessary paperwork).  That applies to both athletes and the overall population.
