not every kid is willing to discuss their grades, classes, & test scores.

Classes, at least, seem like they'd be easy to verify independently. That might be too much work or too invasive for recruiting reporters to look into, though. It certainly feels creepy to me. Then again, so does pretty much everything about recruiting, so maybe it's a common occurrence.
