Congrats on the little peanut, GG!!!  Ferrari's post me reminded me of a product recommendation I got that has served us well: The Britax Carseat aka The Orphan Maker.

I actually misunderstood the term "Orphan Maker" when I read your post. I thought it was saying that the seat was prone to somehow shooting out and killing the people in the front seat. Now I get that it means that in a catastrophic car accident, the kid in the seat is the only one that may survive.
