I think the issue that I have with being skeptical of him choosing Arkansas is that Stanford traditionally only loses recruits to a local program. It recruits nationally and when someone turns that down, it is usually to go to a big name in-state program (Nelson in Iowa and Spain in NC come to mind).
That said, the undergraduate population is full of students who leave behind serious GF/BFs to get the advantages that Stanford offers. After all the academic work that Thomas has put in, I don't think he is going to give that up.

Yeah iirc he would only be the 2nd out of state 5* that we've gotten in the last 15 years...and the other one happened last year. Our state only produces like 5 D1 football players a year so its a pretty big deal for us lol

Regardless, im not going to be upset either way because i can't blame him for wanting a free education from Stanford.
