Which is very good news. Stanford plays a 3-4 for several reasons. One of them is it is generally easier to get difference-making linebackers than staff a full 4-man D-line (with backups, too). Perez, Okereke and Alfieri a very good core group. I will continue, with limited skills, to seek out the video of the Stanford football camp where Perez won an offer by beating and even pushing around the camping OL that were blocking down on him in 1 on 1 drills. A lot of time you can't really discern speed differences in actual contact drills. You could with Perez, who consistently got low and made contact faster than the bigger guys were prepared for.
Am worried about loss of Tucker. He will be fine. We are on dangerously low on safeties, even with Dallas Lloyd switching.
