Call more of a death spiral than a mass exodus. People leave and the conversation stagnates, so more people leave, so the conversation stagnates more. The site really hasn't been the same since Mike Eubanks left to join the Athletics Department, and it suffered another loss when Andy Drukarev "defected" for Scout. Stanford's success in recent years has staved things off, but their attempted rebranding under Fox failed miserably (it made the healthcare.gov rollout look efficient and well executed). The free board is dead. The thunderdome is, well, the thunderdome, and the paid board offers very little value add for the money. Most of the best stuff is the sort of recruiting analysis that Hulk does (i.e., it is user generated). I halted my auto renewals last year, and haven't bothered re-upping since and for the most part haven't missed it.
