fullmetal - I\'m finding myself similarly confused and disappointed by this little pas de deux by the SEC & NCAA.
Ted Miller\'s comments today had a bit more zing but were more restrained than I\'d expected given that he has been consistently critical of the Bush sanctions as weak in proof and inconsistently harsh based on prior punishments.
LA Times Dufresne & Klein both danced around a bit today as well; certainly didn\'t come out with keyboards blazing. The ESPN Wojo article that redarmy posted earlier is the only one that approaches expressing the level of indignation that seems appropriate to me.
My 2 cents is that Haden badly needs to grow a pair. His overly accommodating approach with the NCAA appears laughably misplaced in light of the essentially empty NCAA/SEC punishment handed out today.
C\'mon Pat, what\'s the use of having a law school if you can\'t sent them after something like this?
