8-4 UConn with no real offense and a shortage of high profile names is just a touch less popular than 11-1 Stanford with an amazing offense, Luck, and Harbaugh. Â That pretty much says it all, I think.
UConn to FL and Stanford to AZ is so logical it hurts. Â But the Orange picks first, and Virginia Tech would kill Uconn. Â That would be a ratings disaster. Â Stanford will not turn the Orange Bowl into a must have ticket, but the TV ratings should be OK. Â Uconn getting blasted by 20+ points would be bad news, and with their limited football legacy it is not as if they travel in Nebraska like numbers.
The choice is clear as long as Stanford is #4.
