Can someone explain why the AD is taking such high numbers of season ticket applications? We sold out all 38,000 season tickets this year (that includes the student sections). I assume at least a small waiting list was already in place. The remaining 12,000 seats in our stadium go to opponent allocations, group sales, single ticket purchases for season ticketholders, and a few individual tickets. I estimate the opponents get at least 8,000 (around 15% of the stadium). That leaves a maximum of 4,000 deposits they could take if they eliminated all the other categories (which does not seem wise). Sees like a strange decision. The "bright side" I suppose is that if we again have ~35,000 Rose Bowl tickets to sell only a small % are likely to be poser MSU fans placing deposits.Â
