I, too, read that thread.  True, as Terry writes, they have predicted this a few times before,: Toby departure, Harbaugh departure, Luck departure...

For once, though, I think the wheel of fortune is turning their way.  This time the graduation of 5th year seniors, regular senior starters and key reserves will take a trainload of experience out the door,  notably on defense.  The only question is whether our recent recruiting still has and will identify true talent regardless of star-ratings.

Does Shittu mature fast enough (or at all) to be a credible replacement for Murphy?  If we squint when we look at Martinez, does he look like the next Skov @ MLB?    A drop in our record in 2014 is not a hard prediction to make.  The Domers think that will be enough to destroy our recruiting momentum.  The real test will be 2015.  The last of our great wave of defense recruits will be gone, and maybe Peat, Garnett, Murphy and others off the OL.  By then, will Nwafor, Lohn and Kaumatele be championship caliber DL?  Of course, we and the Domers can't know the results either way,  but this might be their best high-percentage bet...such as it is.
