Tommy Rees only played through 8:21 in the third quarter against SC -- and the Irish offense was very good up until that point. It averaged 7.4 yards per play in the first half -- got two touchdowns and was turned away on a goal-line stand. N.D. was really able to exploit SC's secondary deep, which reinforces the idea for me that our offensive line is critical: can they play like they have at home (strong run blocking and pass pro) or like they have too often on the road -- with some weak pass protection?
