So, if you believe football outsider's F/+ measure, Stanford 2013 is actually the 6th best team between 2009 and 2013. Unfortunately, because of the incredible elite depth in 2013, we're only the 3rd best in 2013. I'll let others express outrage re: the Beehive State Unpleasantness. But that also underscores that we're more unlikely than usual to see the run of results we'd need to make it into the NCG (assuming we, ourselves, win out which I think is far from guaranteed. In fact F/+ gives us a 70-or-so percent chance of beating Literature's Greatest Losers.)
