Texas A&M got a commitment from one of Casey Tucker's teammates, should we be worried?
No. You hear stories about players following their HS buddies, signing as a tandem with other friends, all the time in recruiting. Josh Garnett has a good friend at Michigan who all but guaranteed that Josh would end up in Ann Arbor because of their friendship, and we see how that turned out. If Tucker were to end up at A&M it should be because he, for some reason, liked the program better than all the others. If he chose their because of his friend, then he clearly isn't doesn't have the right mindset to be at Stanford anyway (I don't think this is the case, by the way).
If you want to worry about something, we apparently have competition for Solomon Thomas coming from Ohio State. Thomas took in the walloping the Buckeyes delivered to Penn State last weekend, and now some of the people in Columbus are claiming he will end up with them. Who knows, maybe he just was accompanying a friend. But, again, anyone who really wants the whole student experience, and values education, is going to choose Stanford over Ohio State. I assume the Buckeyes may be a backup as Thomas waits for the admissions process to work out. But if he chooses to go elsewhere, then he's not right for this very unique place.

Garnett wasn't good friends with the guy who was recruiting him to michigan. They met at some camp but they are hardly close friends. All these kids make friends at the camps they attend but for the most part when kids are a package deal it's because they are at the same HS, they are family, or a combination of both.
