Not only did Mason say Lyons is as healthy physically and mentally than he ever has been (post injury I assume), he said Lyons is doing things that make it difficult to distinguish him from Alex Carter.Â
Of course in the same interview Mason talked about Barry Browning also being healthy and coming in with a transformed body. But if both Lyons and Browning are maximizing their physical ability, Lyons is going to win the starting job opposite Carter, and Stanford may have the best secondary in college football if this in fact happens. I can't even believe it is possible to say such a thing, but it's true.
Wouldn't be so sure about that. Browning has a lot more experience and they would probable be cautious with giving Lyons a full workload early in the season
