To make an accurate mock draft, the producer needs to know:
1. The order that teams will be picking (i.e. which teams will do well and which will do poorly)
2. Which players will be available (injuries, leaving early, etc.)
3. Which positions teams will need (those that will be weak because the team has the current weakness and haven't shored it up, those that are weak because a player has retired, become injured, or gone to another team, and that team was unable to address it in this year's draft.)
4. Which players will do well the year of the draft.
It's some what reasonable to try to guess at number four based on current trajectory, but Nos 1-3 are pretty near impossible.
