More repeating others' worries than generating them on my own. I know little about evaluating football players, though his cuts don't look as sharp as others to me (and I do think it's interesting that the 100m race they show on his highlight tape features a slow start followed by Brandt-Sims blitzing the opposition).

Scout just posted an article (http://stanford.scout.com/2/1301452.html) that says he had a laser-timed 40 of 4.5s, which is fast, but not amazingly so. Clearly over the next 60 yards he's great, but I'm wondering if there's something to that worry about his "quickness", as it were.
I also wonder if there's any extent to which that's trainable. I know I've heard that Usain Bolt isn't that fast out of the gate, but he has incredible top speed. Is this something that he could have internalized for track that could be changed on the field? (This is an area about which I know nothing.) It'd be nice to have someone running 4.3's on our side...
