I love the thought of Peppers coming to Stanford. Assuming he is sincere in his interviews, he is a young man of high character who shows a tremendous amount of maturity. Exactly the kind of young man you want on your team.
But, of course, the 4.0 gpa really doesn't, by itself, guarantee entrance. He'll need to prove himself with some strong test scores and probably a couple of AP classes. But, like the rest of us, I'm hoping he rises to those challenges and makes all the marks necessary to put on the Stanford jersey in 2014. That would be great for the program and, regardless of how things turn out on the field, a fantastic reward for Peppers, and an affirmation of all his hard work.Â
