Tara's statement implies she got some scholarship, but it isn't clear the source.  The Media Guide for that year is silent on who has scholarships (except one player who made the transition from walk-on to scholarship).  Since they had only 14 players listed (including Michelle), I'd guess she got a basketball scholarship.  Sorry, that's the best I can find.
