Another good use of VAR.  Swiss player dove drawing a yellow card on the Argentine defender. Ipon VAR review, the yellow was reversed and the Swiss player was given a yellow card for “simulation”.  Since it was his second yellow, he resulted in a red and expulsion.  Hoping that the specter of a VAR review might reduce the diving.

Norway will feel hard done by. The Haaland foul was very soft to me. In closing minutes refs made an incorrect call on a Norway offsides, gave England a goal kick that should have been a Norway corner, and whistled play dead when the England GK Pickford collided with another England player and went to the ground when Norway had possession and there was no head injury.

It was a weak foul but it let Haaland shed his marker and gave him a big advantage.  Obvious call.

Agree with your other complaints. The goalie clearly collided which his own man.
