What really hurt is losing all our experienced upperclass: NuNu, Ogden, and Clardy... Throw in MAS too.

And all of them graduated (dunno about MAS).   I am beginning to think we may never keep another starting player for 4 years again.

Ironically, we just did. Talana started all but three games in her four years playing for Stanford. 

I highly doubt if they were playing for a coach who they liked and who just led them to the Sweet 16 that Nunu, Chloe, or Courtney would have transferred. I think, rather, they'd like to go someplace where they enjoy their coaches and they win on the court. We've had a grad transfer phenomenon for a long time but until Tara retired (and Kiki went to U$C), they were mostly players who were getting "recruited over" by underclassmen (Sniezek, Dodson, Brown, Carrington (who was not afforded a spot to stay since the extra scholly went to Ana Wilson)). If we have a good team culture and success on the court, I think we'll lose the occasional grad transfer but there's no reason to think it'll become an epidemic.
