Amborn to Cal. I'm guessing she was the one who would withdraw if we changed coaches. Which presumably means they've been told Paye is staying. For a lost year in an empty gym.

I guess I can root for Cal for a year?

From the press release announcing Amborn committing to Cal:

"I cannot wait to continue my family legacy here," Amborn said. "Cal truly feels like home. Coach Charmin is the ultimate leader and I am incredibly excited to play for someone who cares so deeply and believes in her players on and off the court. I feel so lucky to join this team."

Funny how she had literally nothing to say about the Stanford coaching staff when she announced she was transferring. But yeah, sure, the coaches aren't the problem, it's the portal and NIL...

I just realized that Charmin was called back from here several-days stint in the W to become H/C after Gottlieb took the job with the Cavaliers. I guess that assistant thing does sometimes work out.
