Any chance of summarizing Brisbee and Baggarly?

1. Haven't seen enough to make sweeping judgments.
2. Stick with the studs on the current roster. There aren't any roster changes that can make a meaningful difference.
3. On the other hand, not too early to make game adjustments, but there's only so may you can do.
4. A manager can only do so much, but not many questions about Tony V.
5. Lots of questions about Patrick B.
6. If there's a major shakeup, it won't happen until the second half of May. Last year, it was the first week of June.
7. Giants have lots of relief talent that will be used in uncharted ways. Temper your expectations.
8. Giants core players need to step up. Period.
9. Don't expect heads to roll after a .500 season.
10. Don't expect Arraez to leave 2B.
11. Don't expect JHL to sit against left-handed pitching. Also, he won't steal bases, he's just 55th percentile in speed. What's worse is JHL has a very long swing, second longest on the team. Only Adames' is longer. He needs confidence and consistency.
12. Giants have the worst walk rate in baseball at 5.8%, and are a full walk behind the 2nd worst (Rockies). Seven teams have twice as many walks as the Giants. Last year, the Giants did quite well, 4th best. Why so bad right now? (1) the whole team is in a slump. (2) Team's approach to making contact, and the Giants might be making too much contact. They are 20th in strikeout percentage now, which is good, but that also means you're hitting balls outside the strike zone -- not good. Giants are 12th in MLB in swinging at pitches outside of the strike zone. Between 2021 and 2025, they ranked between 21st and 29th. Solution? Only swing at balls in the strike zone.
13. Not only do the Giants score the fewest runs per game in MLB, they are scoring the second-fewest runs in their 138 year history (3.06), only behind 1902 (2.87). Next worst was 1985 (3.43) and 1956 (3.51).
