As I've posted several times, would agree with you 100%.  He's one of the few coaches in my mind who can successfully turn the program around, but I believe more and more that IF there is a leadership change (and it's a big 'IF'), Stanford will play it safe and hire Lindy La Rocque, selecting someone who is in the Stanford family, rather than recruit a coach who can facilitate the fundamental change the program really needs to be competitive in the ACC and on the big stage.

Would Lindy really want it, though? She has a good thing going at UNLV--it's home, family is there, etc. Sure, it would be a pay bump, but at what cost? Certainly a lot more pressure.

Similar argument for Rueck, though he is older, doesn't have much left to prove, and if it doesn't work out could just waltz his way into retirement.
