The NCAA wrestling tournament is in Cleveland this Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Stanford has qualified wrestlers in 8 of the 10 weight classes which matches the most that the Cardinal has ever sent to nationals.
Stanford has had a good season, recovering from a slow start and overcoming season-ending injuries of two of its best wrestlers Hunter Garvin and Lorenzo Norman. The Cardinal finished 2nd at the ACC meet behind Virginia Tech with 2 conference champions and 3 runners up.
Based on the seedings, none of the Cardinal would be expected to compete for a national championship. But they certainly could work their into the top 8 which would be All American status.

133 - Tyler Knox (15th)
141 - Jack Consiglio (10th)
149 - Aden Valencia (10th)
157 - Daniel Cardenas (9th)
165 - EJ Parco (27th) - an amazing story, Parco started the season wrestling at 149, then bulked up to 165 after Garvin's injury and finished 3rd at ACCs to qualify for nationals
184 - Abraham Wojcikiewicz (28th)
197 - Angelo Posada (9th)
Every one of Stanford's wrestlers is eligible to come back next season plus Garvin, Norman and the freshman class. The team is trending up. I am bullish on Coach Ayres and the program he is building. These guys are good and will be fun to track as the tournament advances. I'll post a scoring link once it's available.
