Waseda kept us in check until the seventh inning but we put the hammer down.  The following info is readily available about them:

Established: October 21, 1882; 143 years ago

Athletics: 43 varsity teams

Waseda is one of the most selective and sought after universities in Japan.

In a loose sense, Waseda University could be considered the Stanford of Japan, although they have about 6 times as many undergrads as Stanford does. Maybe they're more like the Cal of Japan, although they're private like Stanford is. Their mascot IS a bear....... :-O
