UCLA is a good guess, but the only Bruin thespians I remember are Carol Burnett and Mark Harmon. I don't think either one has won an Oscar, though. Pretty sure that most of their work has been on TV. But like you said there must have been others.

I think Helen Hunt won Best Actress for "As Good As It Gets" with Nicholson. She attended UCLA for a month, then dropped out. Tim Robbins won Best Director and Best Supporting Actor...but not Best Actor.
