Now, if Stanford had as much booster/NIL money as A&M did, I would say Stanford could have a nearly/equally successful football team.  I don't know if that would cause Stanford Stadium to turn into a temple to college football, but we'd need the money first.  

Exactly.  The going rate for a top tier QB these days is going to be about $5 mm (link).  If you have that much cash burning a hole in your pocket and it’s important for your ego to be associated with a winning football program, who am I to tell you what to do with your money.  But otherwise, all of this “Stanford should do…” or “Stanford could be just like Texas A&M if only they…” is just empty wish casting.  This is a message board, so anyone can say what they want, but if you really want a winning Stanford team, go out and make a gazillion dollars and then use it to buy a winning team.
