Still IMO too early to tell where the administration will "land" on this "peace proposal". The negotiators ostensibly replied to questions about European opinion with "We don't care what the Europeans think." I am hoping that cooler heads in the administration do not share that evaluation and will make it clear to the president that the Europeans do not think the plan is viable and will continue supporting Ukraine. IMO Zelenskyy has so many domestic political fires burning that no way he could agree to any peace plan giving up land Russia has not already captured and remain in power. The "lease" work-around may technically allow Zelenskyy to give up territory, but politically that isn't at all the case.
