As between all the various possible scenarios that might have caused the 180-degree turn in a 72-hour period, are any of them better than any others?
To me, the upshot is: (1) the decision making process is messy, but that's inside baseball and I'm not sure the American public cares about the process; and (2) IF it turns out that Ukraine ends up getting its Patriots and other munitions (big IF, obviously), then the messy process ultimately led to the correct decision without inordinate delay (though of course small delays cost lives).
