Way down on the sophistication list is the American Browning M-2 .50 caliber machine gun, preferred by the Ukrainian army. Originally conceived by John Browning at the end of WWI, it was introduced in WWII, and used in most conflicts since then. It's the oldest firearm used by the U. S. Military save for the .45 ACP M1911 pistol (also designed by Browning). 

It's the primary machine gun used by NATO countries and Ukraine finds it useful both for soldiers and robotic platforms, both the weapons and the ammunition are ubiquitous and are fits for AI-driven offensive needs.
