It would be quite naive if the US supports Putin as a mediator in the Israel-Iran conflict. Putin, personally and his country, benefits financially from that conflict continuing. Putin’s own war benefits from this conflict as it draws weapon and attention from Ukraine?
What benefit does Russia get if this conflict ends?
He will pull the same delaying stuff he has in his own war.
Indeed if the US pushes for Putin to be a peace maker here, I believe that would mean the administration may be showing it wants the Israel-Iran conflict to be prolonged, despite any lip service to ending the conflict.
