Most US air force bases are extremely vulnerable to such attacks, and a "surprise" attack of this type may even remain unattributable for quite some time. In addition, there are so many variations on this theme that make it difficult to prepare a "defense". We don't know exactly what we are defending against. One factor that does help is that the US has lots of "indoor" storage for its aircraft. Certainly all the B-2s are stored indoors whenever possible. They don't much like weather. This makes attacks that can't penetrate the building before exploding very much less effective. That said, all aircraft have to spend some time on the flightline before a mission, if not for other reasons. Aircraft are also relatively fragile and burn pretty well.
