Joe Panik

Against the Dodgers.  Kind of his last hurrah.  Injuries got him.

Right. I was bummed out about that. Always liked Joe. Home grown All Star and Gold Glove, #6 in RoY voting (hit 305 that year). Not too many of those.

Reminded me of Matt Duffy. Duffy was #2 RoY voting the next year, 2015, finishing behind Kris Bryant, but ahead of Noah Syndergaard, Joc Pederson and Stephen Piscotty. Hit .295, 28 doubles, 77 RBIs, 77 runs scored. He didn't play in either 2017 or 2020, but he was on Texas' roster briefly last year. I believe he is currently a free agent.
