Quote:I think if we\'d won by 10, a few would have rushed, but not the horde. The fans were celebrating the game and the gutty last drive, not (just) beating the Losers of the Trojan War.Spot-on!
Also concur whole-heartedly with Farm93\'s comment about the media love for Luck & JH, which can only help offset the anti-West Coast / non-HPSwLoAWELRATS (brobdingnagian Public School with Lots of Alums Whose Entire Lives Revolve Around Their School) bias, when it comes to making those bowl selections... though I doubt that the computers "love" us, as much as they favor us relative to polls, due to their objectivity (it still amazes me how much the coaches\' poll seems to be influenced by schools\' historical football reputations -- maybe because coaches only watch games played by their own teams and opponents?).
With respect to everyone\'s comments about the home crowd support at this game, I would desperately reiterate my belief that if we want to retain JH\'s services for the next 20+ years, we MUST make this the norm, so please do all you can to make every friend and neighbor you have a Stanford Football fan! Selling out only when we have ND, an LA school or Da Bares in our house may not cut it for him. Â Otherwise, I still believe that most Stanford fans and writers significantly underestimate our ability to make this his career destination.
