Ukraine seems to have withdrawn from most of their prior holding in Kursk. Seems like it was pretty orderly at least.

Good thing they managed to withdraw. I guess the idea of keeping it as a negotiating tool just wasn't possible. It will be interesting where the Russians try to go next. It may be that the Kursk incursion finally did draw enough Russian strength away from other fronts that the Russian advances elsewhere slowed down.

Right now the "mud season" is apparently beginning in Ukraine. If that is so, there will be an unavoidable slowdown in operations by both sides for about a month, maybe more. It will be interesting to see if Russia withdraws troops from Kursk and commits them in the Donbas.

It does seem a bit strange to me that this evacuation is making news on X but not so much in "mainstream" media. I would consider it important news. It is "there", but not exactly highlighted. https://www.cnn.com/2025/03/09/europe/ru...index.html
