Good point, thanks for pointing that out. However if the US were to block other countries from exporting weapons, I imagine that would just supercharge the current growth of European defense companies to produce weapons that don't rely at all on US tech. Short term it certainly would be an issue for companies that use US tech now however.
Would be a difficult thing to reverse once that parallel engineering and production investment occurs.
If the US does not implement a complete blockade of US tech, at least Europe probably has a lot more existing AMRAAMs they could spare than Patriots, but in any case air defense would be probably the hardest thing for Ukraine to completely support domestically or with European assistance.
